It's been a while since we found the time for a Friday Fish Fry, well over a month! But we're back at it and this time our friends invited us to meet them at Four Way in Suamico. I've always heard good things about this place, so let's see how they fared.

There were two entrances that we saw walking up to the building, one to the left, and one to the right on the patio. We chose the one to the left and ended up walking into the dining room, which was a little odd at first. But we found our way to the bar easy enough, connected to the dining room by a hallway. Four Way has a large outdoor patio with ample seating and a fireplace, and they are building a covered section at the moment.

It was 7:30pm and our friends were already at the bar. The place wasn't very busy at all, but it definitely got much busier a little later. We found ourselves a pub table, ordered some brandy old fashioneds and an order of fried cheese curds.

I would call the Four Way a local tavern with a Friday Fish Fry. The bartenders and waitresses were friendly and casual, nothing too formal which is what I love about these type of places. There was a minimal wait, but we had two friends who hadn't arrive yet so we had the waitress wait to take our order. Once they arrived, our orders were taken in the bar area. A short while later our table was set and we were invited to the dining room-seated at table #1.

All of us got fish or seafood, and all the meals came with the salad bar. After we were done with our salads, our entrees arrived. All the fish and seafood options tasted great, especially the fried perch and broiled haddock. I got the potato salad as my choice of potato, definitely homemade and tasted great.

My perch plate included the salad bar, so cole slaw was an option there, but not served with the meal. This is very common, but I do have my own preference to always have the cole slaw served with the meal regardless. The meal was topped with with rye bread, but did not include any white raw onion. The waitress was nice enough to deliver some raw onion upon request.

Four Way Bar & Restaurant puts on a really good fish fry and is definitely worth a visit. I bet it's also a great place to sit on the large patio on a weekend afternoon sharing some cold drinks with friends.
